How does ivy leaf work ? Ivy leaf has been found to contain 5-8 % saponins ( a chemical compound ) and a low content of emetine ( an alkaloid ) – combined , these have the effect of helping thin , loosen and clear mucus from the chest .

Packing

Each pack contains 100ml of mary ivy liquid in PET bottle with measuring cup for exact dose administration.

DIRECTION: For oral use only.

Shake the bottle well before each time before use.

  • Children 6 months to 2 years: 2.5ml twice a day.
  • Children 2 to 6 years: 2.5ml three times a day
  • Children 6 to 12 years: 5 ml three times a day
  • Adults and children over 12 years: 5-7ml three times a day

One study showed that after 7 to 10 days of treatment with ivy leaf extract, upper respiratory tract infection symptoms like cough or expectoration were improved or cured in a large majority of patients. In another study, GPs treated patients with ivy leaf extract – these patients had either irritating cough from the common cold, bronchitis, or respiratory tract diseases with mucus formation. %86 of doctors and %90 of patients in the study rated the efficacy of ivy leaf extract as either ‘very good’ or ‘good’ after an average of 12 days treatment.
